American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) operating subsidiaries Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) and Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) have issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the purchase of capacity and associated energy that will allow SWEPCO and PSO to satisfy planning reserve requirements of the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) for the 2010-2012 time period.
